Current• Manage, plan and oversee the safe, efficient, productive and cost-effective operation of the Container and General Cargo Department.• Monitor performance through KPI’s to identify improvement opportunities, problem areas and implement solutions.• Review and generate Risk assessments, method statements and briefings for all tasks under my control, ensuring all Health and Safety procedures conform to legislation and regulations.• Generate quality management systems and ensure they are followed in practice to ascertain ISO 9001 certification.• Work with customers to ensure targets and schedules are achievable.• Improve performance and promote good practice through appraisals and personal development systems, challenging non-conformance.Achievements: Business Development• Spearheaded the successful continuation of container operations through a development and improvement project to increase capacity by 40% and through-put growth of 60% while successfully maintaining customer requirements and targets.• Managed the design improvement and upgrade of a new efficient IT container system.• Passed the NEBOSH, National General Certificate in occupational health and safety (2019)
