KRAFT FOODS CORPORATION, Madison, WI Regional Technical Services Manager 1991 to 2006Responsible for the leadership and management of multi-site staff, who provided IT technical services in the areas of end-user computing, network, hosting, Service Desk, business systems, and projects. In addition to these responsibilities, I also: • Represented North America on the Kraft Foods Global Information Systems Team, delivering on our charter to develop, communicate, and execute IT strategy for the Corporation.• Led a cross-functional Disaster Recovery / Business Resiliency Starpoint team, which assessed risks and developed solutions to prevent/minimize loss if a disaster should occur.• Led a cross-functional IT Marketing Starpoint team, which promoted the value-added “anywhere and any time” services Kraft IT provided to Kraft Foods. • Led a cross-functional Quality (based on Deming’s TQM Quality, Cost, Delivery model, and similar to today’s Six Sigma) Starpoint team, which developed metrics, along with a mechanism for measuring those metrics, to determine where IT service delivery could be improved.• Played a strategic role in the planning and execution of the Y2K initiative, working with 3rd party vendors to insure in what resulted as a seamless transition into the year 2000..• Project managed various projects, such as the development and roll-out of a raw material to in-process- to eventual finished product inventory tracking system, which was crucial to the entire ERP strategy by financially capturing the true cost of each manufacturing step in addition to providing food safety tracking should a recall of product be necessary.• Selected to serve on the Kraft Foods IT outsourcing initiative, in which the entire Kraft Foods IT organization was moved to a third-party provider.

I continue to be a Board member of the Oscar Mayer READI Volunteer organization, which engages in volunteerism throughout the Madison community, however due to the manner in which LinkedIn lists my positions, I chose this to be secondary to my actual career listed above.

I had served for a number of years as a local Board member of the American Diabetes Association, planning events such as Tour de Cure.

I continue to serve as a local Board member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, planning events such as Light the Night.
