Software development and support for two FDA class III opto-mechanical medical products. Includes GUI, database management (Oracle and SQL Server), device integration, and general software development for Windows and Solaris target platforms, in addition to development for a VxWorks (real-time operating system) device. Hardware component development and support for two opto-mechanical FDA class III medical devices. Includes all aspects of design and development from prototyping and feasibility analysis to post release inter-departmental support. Also responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable international EMC and safety standards.Projects span a vast spectrum including the replacement of a 68060 based host board, incorporation of embedded bar code readers, electronic enclosure revisions, and managing component obsolescence.
