Led a team of three developers in the creation of an online data collection and management tool. The data “Minimart” enables knowledge workers to input, update and track changes to disparate data points that are ultimately consumed by downstream reporting applications. Designed, developed and deployed self-updating equity characteristics database. The “FACTSET_REF” database utilizes SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to manage the daily exchange of data files and the import and processing of vendor security characteristics on a daily basis. Designed, developed and implemented web-based, mission-critical, trade reporting system. The Daily Trade Notification (DTN) system automates the nightly process of trade reporting and reconciliation by giving trade assistants the ability to generate trade reports "on demand." Assumed management of internally developed, mission critical, client reporting application. The CRF Automated Presentation Engine (CAPE) stretches the limits of MS Office Automation capabilities and empowers users to create customized client deliverables that can be automatically updated with dynamic client data extracted from an enterprise portfolio accounting system. Using a custom-developed "tag language", CAPE parses Excel and PowerPoint report "templates" for CAPE "tags" then replaces said tags with client data obtained via Sybase stored procedures. Coordinated 50+ user deployment of Saratoga System's iAvenue Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Automated thousands of human interface tasks by building a pair of robotic process automation tools that served as an API for a third party vendor system. Using custom developed technologies (see below), the Ensemble robots replicated a human user’s actions in both CITRIX-based and Web-based applications. The Ensemble robots ran 24/7 on 8 application servers, possessing over 20,000 customer requests per week with over 90% success rate.Led the design and implementation of a CITRIX application scripting tool (CSMBOT). The CSMBOT mimics user keypress and mouseclick events in a CITRIX application by translating screen coordinates and ASCII characters into low-level Windows messages that can be sent to the CITRIX window’s message queue using the SendMessage Windows API. To retrieve information back from the CITRIX application, the CSMBOT utilizes an OCR object from the LEAD Tools imaging suite and Windows GDI functions to retrieve screen bitmaps and extract the underlying text.Led the design and implementation of a Web application scripting tool (FDTBOT). The FDTBOT analyzes the underlying HTML document in a Web application and uses a variety of screen-scraping techniques to insert and retrieve data. By identifying and raising “onchange” and “buttonclick” events, the FDTBOT is able to conduct complex tasks and navigate within a Web application. Utilized Rational Quantify to conduct performance testing on the robot applications. Identified areas of the code that utilized the most processor and memory resources and subsequently optimized the applications to increase robot server efficiency.
