Steve Teather joined Close Brothers in 2009 and is Head of Prudential Regulation, responsible for Regulatory Reporting, capital management and various key regulatory projects, such as the group's ICAAP and RRP. In his role, Steve is involved in all prudential regulatory aspects, including liquidity and funding reporting and monitoring, and regularly reports to the group's Executive and non-Executive directors on a wide range of regulatory topics. Prior to Close Brothers, Steve spent nine years at Merrill Lynch as European Director of Regulatory Policy, which included managing the European implementation and regulatory approval of IRB. Before that, Steve worked for 10 years at Deloitte in their Financial Markets division, primarily focussed on regulatory matters. Steve’s last year at Deloitte was spent on secondment to the UK regulator, the Financial Services Authority.
