I am a freshwater ecologist with over 20 years of research experience. Much of my work focuses on the impacts of environmental, including climate, change on the state and dynamics of lake ecosystems. I lead the Lake Ecosystems Group at the Lancaster site of the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. In addition, I have editorial duties for the journal Global Change Biology, and I am co-chair of the Aquatic Ecology Special Interest Group of the British Ecological Society.
