Steve has 37 years of experience in all aspects of manufacturing, manufacturing engineering and design. His hands-on experience in manufacturing together with his education and background in design enable him to quickly understand the requirements of an application while maintaining manufacturability in the design. His experience includes years of designing for the defense industry together with 23 years of increasing responsibility at McNally and Nobles. He has designed, re-designed, reverse-engineered and built product testing equipment for numerous defense-application products, such as nuclear coolant pump systems, hydraulic control valve systems, military ammunition handling systems, and lubrication pumps for military vehicle transmissions. In addition to his design engineering and program management responsibilities at the Company, Steve has developed and conducts internal continuing education courses to ensure that company employees are current on new specifications and contractual requirements. Steve has degrees in business and mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota along with significant continuing education resulting in certifications in Rapid Prototyping, Process Engineering (3M) and ISO Auditing.
