About Steve Thomas, Ccp

Hi, and thanks for giving me a look over. I am the Managing Lead Consultant for the Data Management Practice, which includes Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing. I have extensive Program and Project level leadership experience in delivering effective Data Management solutions for clients. I really prefer to be in the field with the clients and projects. So I have over 25 years HANDS ON experience with Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehouse design, Development, and Delivery. This makes me a very senior Data Architect, Data Modeler, and Database Designer. Early on I worked as a Developer, IT Auditor, Systems Analyst, and Manager. I moved into the "data" space in 1991 as a Data Modeler/Analyst and Project Leader, and I was an early practitioner of Information Engineering, applying engineering discipline to information technology. This involved using structured techniques like Data Architecture and Data Modeling, championing the use of design and modeling techniques to produce efficient, effective, and usable databases and data structures. Perhaps my biggest strength is my communications and people skills, and strong project organization and leadership abilities. I think it is this unique blend of people skills, organizational abilities, and a solid technical background that has given me success as a consultant, conference speaker, and technical trainer.Thanks for looking this over.Steve
