Steve is the co-founder and former President and CEO of Columbia Analytical Services, Inc., a full service analytical laboratory headquartered in Kelso, WA and now part of ALS. Steve currently is managing director of the Laboratory Science Institute (LSI), a charitable non-profit organization that is focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) related projects involving environmental laboratory advisory services, science education, training and research. Through its charitable work, LSI has provided scholarships for science oriented students attending Lower Columbia College; provided support to education projects at the grade and middle school levels; and helped fund new technology development for air and water sampling Steve also acts as a sales-side consultant to the laboratory industry helping owners with succession planning and sale of their companies.
