Responsible for:• Deputizing for the Quality Manager• Management and development of the company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety management systems• Implementation of Lean systems as part of the green belt team• Introducing new methods and systems such as 8D, 5S, Quarantine, Concession and Auditing • Management of supplier audit function.• Lead auditor for ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and OHSAS18001 responsible for internal auditing and coordinating 3rd party audits• Developing visual basic based paperless reporting systems including NDT & paint reports, automatic quality cockpit charts, Incident, NCR and hazard registers

• Responsible for management of the noise, vibration, endurance and performance audit testing section of the quality department (7 team members). Planning test schedules, revalidation plans, investigating defects via the 8D system and reporting to senior management• Deputising for department group leader, including responsibility for target achievement, overhead and capital budget planning and personnel issues• Setting standards, developing departmental quality procedures, creation of training documents and training of team members• Sole responsibility for all departmental equipment capital acquisition projects including project planning, supplier identification and rating, equipment specification, purchase, commissioning and final acceptance• Responsible for all department test equipment including repair of panels to component level, upgrade, maintenance and co-ordination of vibration, thermal and liquid condition monitoring including remote data logging • Development of production line noise and vibration test equipment, undertaking machine and process capability studies• Cardiff representative for lead plant reliability testing functions with international manufacturing locations, ensuring standards and procedures are commonised throughout the division• Member of the Noise Force project team, creating product test limit specifications together with customer requirements, through measurement of product, analysis of data, generation of limits and presentation to customers. Benchmarking competitor products and development of improved performance and reduced noise • Testing and analysis of product from world-wide production locations including international travel for provision of support• Supporting six sigma teams with DOE, responsible for testing and data analysis of noise level reduction project for customer critical product and improvement of performance through optimisation of stator geometry

• Noise level measurement, assessment and modelling on Department of Transport road schemes, giving evidence in public hearings• Modelling of noise at air and heliports, providing information for planning applications• Assessment of industrial noise within factories with respect to “Noise at Work Regulations”, giving appropriate advice to clients• Audiometric testing of client team members, assessment of hearing levels on an annual basis• Monitoring of noise from potential nuisance sources such as power stations, rail yards and factories, providing reports for clients

• Design, development and manufacture of Optical Fibre hydrophones and hydrophone calibration techniques• Development of semi-reflecting optical fibre couplings• Acoustic characterisation of polymers utilising Pulse Tube techniques• Field testing product and analysis of data
