Backhoe operator, installer, jobber.• Estimate, and install sanitary sewer and septic waste systems in residential and commercial applications, as per architect plans.• Performed excavation and installation to repair or replace sanitary waste systems and storm water management. • Schedule and manage project construction and subcontractor schedules• Procure and maintain inventory material for pending projects as well as "just in time" on site deliveries. • New septic tanks. New seepage pits. New leaching fields. All field plumbing connections. • Restore grade to excavated landscape and replant salvaged shrubbery and turf. • Schedule and perform Fleet maintenance. • Perform routine service plumbing repairs. 25 years under direction, (from Dad,) started by pulling nails out of loose scrap lumber to prevent injuries to other employees. Graduated up to Grease monkey on dad’s heavy machinery, backhoes, bulldozers, dump-trucks, cranes, asphalt rollers. Continued up the ladder to laborer. Grunt work on new construction excavations, forms for footings, foundations, main rough-in, water and sewer, decking, framing, sheeting, roofing, siding, tile, sheetrock, tape and compound. (No plaster) . Assist tradesmen: plumbers with internal rough-in, hydronic boilers, run baseboard. Assist electricians drilling endless holes and pulling BX. (No NM in those days) At age 13, I was operating heavy equipment such as backhoe, bulldozer and site dump-truck. Land survey for excavation to finished grade for Custom in-ground swimming pools and stormwater management. At 17 I was left to oversee active jobs as the liaison to facilitate Dad to engage in other business activities.
