Mr. Wise has 20+ years of full life-cycle, progressively increasing responsibility in the aerospace industry including leadership, development, analysis, Systems Engineering, operations, and hands-on experience. Currently he is the Sierra Space Enterprise-Wide Director of Engineering Operations. Previously he was the Director of Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) for the development of the Dream Chaser reusable orbital spaceplane. Before that, he worked as an expert consultant for United Launch Alliance (ULA) in the development of the upper stage of NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS). For years previous, he served the NASA human spaceflight mission as an International Space Station (ISS) Payload Operations Director at the MSFC Operations Support Center. He also worked to develop NASA’s next generation heavy lift and Low Earth Orbit launch vehicles, ISS Nodes 2/3 and Cupola, and worked at DoD to develop ISR&T airborne systems to support our nation’s warfighters. He served honorably in the United States Air Force as an aerospace propulsion mechanic on the F-15E, including deployment in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He has proven experience in leadership, design, testing, and operations across a broad scope of aerospace systems and has a distinct bias for action.
