My role is to help Diplomat become a catalyst for creating sustainable, transformational change in the community by developing community partnerships and philanthropic initiatives.We focus on 4 core areas:1) Social Enterprise2) City Placemaking3) Healthy Living4) Changing Perceptions

As Director of Development I am responsible for ensuring the success and sustainability of our organization. I attempt to accomplish this through the meaningful involvement of friends, alumni, parents, and students of St. Mary Student Parish.

Early into my tenure at St. John Vianney/Pius X Schools I realized the parochial model for Catholic Schools was obsolete and, more importantly, unsustainable. I worked to bring the 7 Catholic elementary schools and 1 Catholic high school in Genesee County together to create a "Catholic School District."Also, while in the Flint area I worked on a marketing program for all 8 schools in the region and began or expanded scholarship programs to ensure the accessibility of Catholic education for all who desired it.

I was responsible for student programs, ranging for social events to the alternative spring break program. We doubled all of our programs during my time at St. John, and that resulted in the need to increase revenue to continue to offer our programs. To ensure our programs could remain at these high levels I began to invite parishioners and friends of St. John into a deeper relationship with our community which led to a surplus in funding.
