Stephen Works is a Parole and Probation Officer with Josephine County Adult Community Justice, where he has served since 1994. He currently heads up the specialized Domestic Violence Supervision Unit. He is the Chair of the Josephine County Domestic and Sexual Violence Council, the Treasurer of the Region Five Training Council, and the Josephine County Chapter - Federation of Oregon Parole and Probation Officers, Union President. He is a Survival Skills Instructor, Structured Sanctions Instructor and Department of Homeland Security - Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Adjunct Instructor. He has served as Field Training Officer, Lead Parole and Probation Officer, Local Interstate Compact Coordinator, Hearings Officer, Sex Offender Specialist, Josephine County Sexual Assault Response Team member, Interim Assistant Director and Supervisory Authority Designee for the department. Steve’s statewide service includes serving as a member and the chair of the Oregon Sex Offender Supervision Network, a member of The Family Violence Supervision Network, a board member of the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Region Five Training Council, a member of the Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force and the Offender Response Sub-Committee. Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a minor in Business Management from Southern Oregon University.
