Current work involves design of structural castings, developing strategies to efficiently manage configuration complexity, and working cooperatively with procurement, program management, and validation testing to ensure that business and design targets are met.

The Operation Management Development Program is a highly-selective two year program which is designed to give recent college graduates exposure to a wide range of departments within the company. The program is broken up into four six-month rotations which involve areas such as procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and product development.I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of positions which have included, Plant Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Navistar Defense Procurement, and Chassis Engineering. These rotations have given me experience in designing plant tooling, maintaining plant equipment, leading a production team, improving production processes, improving manufacturing quality, reducing production costs, implementing intelligent tooling, leading make vs. buy analyses, and serving as a voice for manufacturing in product engineering design processes. My procrement experience involved negotiating with suppliers, supporting efforts to maintain regulatory compliance, and helping to generate proposals. I worked in Suspension design for my final rotation, from this I gained an understanding of design and release processes, coordinated interaction with procurement, and cooperating with related subsystem designers to leverage design opportunities that crossed functional boundaries.

I completed my Master's research at SEA ltd, a forensic engineering firm located in Columbus, OH. While there I studied the kinematic responses of an Anthropomorphic Test Device (commonly known as a crash test dummy) during a quarter-roll event in an recreational off-highway vehicle (side by side ATV). My thesis involved development and classification of a kinematic response tracking methodology. Other responsibilities involved processing response data (accelerometers, video, three dimensional optical tracking system, and string potentiometers), and hands on work in experimental setup and execution.

As a Graduate Teaching Associate I was responsible for leading lab sessions, delivering lectures, and grading reports for 36 students. I also led review sessions and held office hours to supplement the classroom efforts.
