Dish provides satellite TV, streaming television, wireless phone service, and is building a 5G wireless network. I work on projects to increase automation and improve processes within the procurement and sourcing parts of supply chain.✔ I have progressed in my roles from Buyer II to Senior Buyer to Supply Chain Supervisor to Project Manager Supply Chain. The VP of Supply Chain said: “I have appreciated your leadership both in your role and in the committee work you do. I also appreciate your focus on collaborating with our internal customers on solutions.”✔ This progression of positions has allowed me to make a greater impact on the supply chain department. Presently, I am leading a project on purchase order automation that could fundamentally change how procurement operates. ✔ In the last year, I completed 40 hours of leadership training offered through Dish Talent Management. I am committed to learning and developing my abilities so that I can be a better leader and teammate. ✔ Volunteer on the CFO Organization’s Communication Committee. I led a group of Buyers who managed the Procure to Pay process in support of the satellite TV business. My Team purchased products and services for internal customers so they could take care of external customers.✔ With the aim of providing a high level of service to internal customers, my Team always exceeded their key performance indicator goal by placing almost 100% of their purchase orders within the established service level agreement.✔ During my first six months as a Supervisor, I championed the achievements of two Buyers on my team to organization management resulting in them being rewarded with promotions from a Buyer I to a Buyer II. ✔ With the goal of building the best team, I hired two Buyers to join my team within my first year as a Supervisor. I facilitated their onboarding and training in order to help them be successful as Buyers.

I supported the retail wireless business by purchasing mobile devices and related products.✔ I annually processed +$1 billion of purchase orders using Oracle so the company’s distribution channels would have the necessary products to sell to customers.✔ While reconciling a supplier’s purchase orders, I identified and resolved an issue where a return to vendor of mobile devices was not completed properly. I facilitated the necessary adjustments that resulted in correcting an overstatement of inventory valued at $30.1 million.✔ I was recognized with the Dish Team Work Award as a key member of an integration team for the $1.4 Billion acquisition of Boost Mobile. Presented annually to those who best exemplify collaboration and teamwork across the organization. The CEO said: “you’ve overcome tremendous obstacles to achieve exceptional results.”

eScience Labs (now part of Science Interactive) designs, makes, and sells science experiment kits that support online and traditional learning through universities. I made sure the production lines had the necessary materials used in the experiments so that kits could be assembled and shipped on time to students.✔ In my first year, I reduced cost of goods sold by 3 percentage points and saved the company almost $300,000. To a small business it was a big impact. This was accomplished by strategically sourcing products at lower costs.✔ In order to have a reliable and consistent flow of products, I managed and developed relationships with international and domestic vendors while looking after $4 million in annual purchases.✔ Using Oracle Netsuite, I planned, monitored, and analyzed average inventory levels of $800,000 of raw materials, so that I could increase turnover and reduce carrying costs.✔ To achieve 100% fill rates of required items for kits, I interacted with 7 assembly team leaders to anticipate product needs.

Joseph A. Bank is a national men’s clothing retailer that had over 600 locations. I was a turn around specialist in regard to store operations. I fixed two under performing stores before being promoted to one of the largest in the area that had more than twice as much sales volume.✔ Became the manager of a location on the company’s list for potential closing due to under performing. In my first year, I turned around operations and boosted sales by 21%.✔ At another troubled store, I transformed the place and achieved a 5% annual sales increase, which was the first sales gain in 3 years.✔ During an annual loss prevention audit, I received the highest overall rating with the comment “outstanding job” by the corporate auditor.✔ Recognized for having high merchandising standards. I was always rated commendable on store presentation and visuals on my quarterly report cards which were graded by the Regional Sales Director.
