As the Group CFO, I am lucky to have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of this fantastic growing mobility business. This includes having input and influence in Sales (B2C and B2B), Marketing, Operations and Manufacturing. Obviously, the core area of expertise involves leading the Finance function by ensuring reporting is robust and insightful and financial strategies are supported by a strong and capable team.

Responsible for all Finance, IT, Legal and Property related matters across the group with manufacturing locations in Northampton, Bourton, Gislev Denmark and partners in China, USA and Australia.Regular direct contact with investors (BGF), banks, corporate lawyers, corporate advisors, UK and overseas auditors and tax advisors.The role involves shaping, influencing and executing business strategy in a high growth environment. Key achievements to date:> Successful acquisition and integration of Four Design a business based in Denmark with a turnover of £20m.> Successful acquisition and integration of Race Furniture a business based in Bourton with a turnover of £4m. Subsequently a challenging business requiring significant turnaround. > Successful acquisition of the assets of Fabricks Ltd an acoustic product range in 2017.> Two successful refinancing exercises resulting in over £1.6m savings in interest over the term and more flexible credit lines to support future growth.> Identified opportunities to restructure Group IP and optimise tax.> Restructured and strengthened the UK finance team in Northampton, Bourton and Denmark.> Developed and supported a working capital improvement plan resulting in a cash improvement of over £1m.> Completed the set-up of a German subsidiary to support growth in this region.> Developed an investment case for a new Group ERP IT system to support growth and improve operational efficiency. Planned go-live in Denmark May 2020.> Improved the management reporting across the UK and established a board reporting pack following the appointment of BGF.> Supported and influenced the development of the groups long term strategic plan.> Developed a property relocation plan in the UK with support from property advisors GVA.

> Finance Director and Business Partner for the Health Division of Capita which includes a digital start up business connecting local government adult social care with consumers. A BPO outsourcing contract and a portfolio of Analytics and Consulting businesses all serving the NHS and private healthcare.> Successful acquisition and integration of Health business.> Successfully modelled business case for new start up venture resulting in main board investment.> Led a profit optimization and cost out exercise targeting a 5% reduction in the overall cost base.> Successfully led working capital improvements resulting in year on year improved cash performance.> Improved financial controls, compliance and governance processes.

Finance Director for a portfolio of Medical services businesses namely, International Assist (travel insurance related emergency medical assistance business), Organisational Health, Health Clinics and Oil & Gas Medical Services based in Hinckley, Sheffield, Aberdeen and Purley.

Expat assignment to the US, Chicago following acquistion of PE backed Aspen Medical by Hill-Rom.CFO / Finance lead for $250m Surgical & Respiratory Care (a division of Hill-Rom)Reporting directly to group CFO and dotted line to the President of the Division.Responsible for driving profitable growth, generating cashflow, capital allocation, Sarbanes Oxley internal controls and improving returns on investments. Key role in M&A targetting, business modelling, due diligence and execution / integration.

Finance Director for Private Equity backed Medical Device business.Through strong business partnering to the MD and management team we managed to double EBITDA and Free Cashflows over 3 years. Aspen successfully embarked on a buy and build strategy resulting in several successful acquisitions. We completed a trade sale exit to Hill-Rom in July 2012 and I joined the buyer in a larger divisional FD role in the US which included leading a 100 day integration plan.
