Incubated http://www.surfaceremixproject.com/ a new hardware-driven project for context-driven mixing and mashing music on Surface. Lead for Search, View, and Command team in UEX. Responsible for a range of Windows 8 features including putting the ribbon in Windows Explorer, the copy UX, File APIs, the File Picker, App to App picking, modern context menus, and the modern app Splash Screen.

In June of 2017, I took on a challenge to produce a music project with an old friend, Paris composer and pianist, Tim Root. Together, we assembled a team of world-class musicians, each known world-wide for their mastery and unique voice on their instrument(s). We came together to learn, rehearse, arrange and record six intense, poly-rhythmic, poly-tonal.

Expanding on 30 years of experience in Robert Fripp's "Guitar Craft" school, including many of its longest participating members, Tiny Orchestral Moments integrates.

Ballistic Music has been producing and releasing music for Steve Ball, Electric Gauchos, Seattle Guitar Circle, Big Time Trio, Zum, Tiny Orchestral Moments.

In 1994, Steve joined Los Gauchos Alemanes and invested 3 years in performances, tours and recordings all over Argentina and Seattle. Their release 'Little Beast' was released on Discipline Global Mobile (and is being re-released as a 25th anniversary remaster in 2021.) In 1997, Steve, Fernando Kabusacki and Martin Schwutke aligned with Alex Anthony Faide.

C3 was a long-term collaboration between Seattle musicians Steve Ball and Paul O’Rear. C3 was an evolution of the Steve Ball Roadshow, a guitar-based ensemble that performed in and around the Seattle area from 1997 - 2010. Before settling in Seattle, Steve Ball was a long time member of the League of Crafty Guitarists, founder of the Seattle Guitar Circle.

Managed the Windows Audio Video Excellence PM team through Windows Vista RTM.

A great education in what not to do and how and when not to do it. This was YouTube, six years too early. Series A was funded by George Zachary at Mohr Davidow (among others). This was the show Silicon Valley, played out in reality.

I began working on MSN 2.5 (Hartford) on the Interactive Music show "Rifff" building interactive music 'videos' for the web with well-known musicians like Graham Nash, Mark Mothersbaugh, Alan White, Jane Siberry, Philip Glass and many others.

Apprenticeship: learned, taught, wrote and played music with international ensemble of guitarists. Also, organized courses, booked tours, made the merch (including picks!) balanced the books, and played the shows. A great education. And now, a network of 4000+ guitarists around the world who continue to practice, perform, record, and release music in this.
