My practice focuses mainly on patent litigation and litigating complex IP and related matters. I serve as lead counsel in patent infringement cases and focus on providing clients with strategic litigation and business counseling on all facets of intellectual property issues. I am involved in all phases of litigation and focus primarily on first-chair litigation and managing patent cases in district courts throughout the United States. My experience has included the representation of some of the largest and most well-known airlines, financial services institutions, technology and consumer products companies. Additionally, I am regularly involved in representing companies in disputes related to electrical, computer software, telecommunications, mechanical and business method patents. I also have significant first-chair experience litigating cases involving trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition and complex business disputes. I have been recognized as a leading intellectual property lawyer by Chambers USA (2013) and was listed as a DC Super Lawyer (2013) for Intellectual Property Litigation. I was just recently selected as Top 100: 2014 Washington DC Super Lawyers Top List, and was identified as one of Washington, DC’s “Best Lawyers” by Washingtonian Magazine in 2013 and as one of the up and coming “Top Lawyers” by the Washington Business Journal in 2008. I am very involved in the community and public affairs. I chair the Corporate Executive Council for the American Cancer Society and serves as a Board of Director for Thanks USA and DC Appleseed. I also for many years have coached little league and my sons travel baseball teams through Great Falls Little League.

Practice focused mainly on patent litigation. Also was the Managing Partner of the D.C. office for six years, and was responsible for, among other things, growing the office from approximately 30 to 80 attorneys.
