In this role I managed relationships with a portfolio of key intermediary accounts and identified and converted new account opportunities, to drive profitable revenue growth. I developed, agreed and managed individual account plans and sales pipelines and closed new business opportunities, working with marketing, sales, operations, claims and underwriting colleagues to ensure successful delivery. I was involved in the management of bids and helped coach and develop less experienced colleagues. My primary responsibility was to grow profitable RSA business within my existing intermediary accounts and/or with new accounts, through defending renewal business and creating new business opportunities. I had to build and maintain relationships within assigned intermediary organisations to thoroughly understand their strategy, culture, personalities, customer base and decision making and ensure they fully understand RSA’s propositions.I developed, agreed and maintain a yearly account plan for each allocated intermediary to achieve sales strategy and targets.Managed the overall sales pipeline with these intermediaries to ensure the business achieved its annual sales targets.Lead the identification, planning, qualification and winning of new key account relationships to grow the portfolio of intermediary accounts in line with sales strategy.Complied with the required standards of sales excellence and best practice and operating effectiveness and efficiency, and Group, legal and regulatory requirements.
