Responsible for control of general ledger for $260 Million asset credit union including preparation and review of Asset/Liability Management reporting, monthly financial package, annual report financials, supervise staff of four. Member of executive team.

Responsible for control of general ledger for $270 Million asset community bank including preparation and review of monthly financial package, quarterly press release, annual report financials, supervised staff of three and managed the daily cash position.- Produced the quarterly Call Report to the Federal Reserve Bank.- Member of the Bank’s Asset/Liability Committee.- Developed and implemented policies and procedures.- Coordinated flow of information for internal and external auditors.- Reviewed and negotiated new and existing contracts to lower liability and improve terms and costs.- Special projects as required, including vendor management and annual corporate budget.

Responsible for operations and control of the general ledger for $5 Billion asset community bank including review of monthly financials, maintain financial integrity of the general ledger and supervised staff of 14 comprising accounts payable, general ledger and stock administration. Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, including certification responsibilities.

Project manager for installation of new accounting system.Worked with consulting firm to convert the accounting system from Great Plains to Sage, including organization and planning of the implementation with the staff and consultants.

- Created a unique mortgage product profitability model for the company’s mortgage lending groups.- Key member in project to develop and implement an on-line mortgage pricing model.- Key member of transition team for merger with Crestar Mortgage.- Calculated and published the Serviced Release Premium (SRP) paid for purchasing loans from affiliate banks.- Calculated the valuation and amortization of intangible mortgage servicing rights for secondary market loans.- Completed detailed financial and statistical information for production and servicing surveys.- Calculated bid prices on mortgage loan portfolios to acquire servicing rights.- Developed pro forma financial statements to create a captive reinsurance subsidiary and the estimated profitability.

- Oversaw all aspects of the annual budget, including the financial, intercompany, staffing and capital budgets. Coordinated schedule, wrote and reviewed instruction book, organized new center/account requests, coordinated flow of information from managers and developed presentation package for the annual budget. Reviewed budget data for integrity to ensure specific items were planned and uploaded to the core G/L system.- Processed monthly financial data which was needed to complete monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including monthly forecast projections.

Cost accounting projects assigned as needed:- Played key role to consolidate various support functions in affiliate banks to centralize at the holding company.- Completed cash vault study to develop standard products and pricing for use in 29 affiliate banks.- Determined cost to service mortgage loans for SunTrust Mortgage, Inc.- Developed unit cost calculations at different affiliate banks for a standardized product list.

Worked as fill-in for different accounting functions, included accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and cashier. Started as night auditor to reconcile daily hotel and food and beverage transactions.
