In today’s world, it’s hard to know who you can trust. Consumers are inundated with more advertisements and information than ever before and many don’t know where they can turn for reliable, unbiased information. Since our founding in 1912, the Better Business Bureau has acted as a resource for both consumers and businesses to help strengthen and build trust in the marketplace. I started my career 31 years ago at the Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois in the operations department and have worked on nearly every team since. I've spent that time working with the businesses in our area and getting to know what makes them successful with consumers. As the current President and CEO of the BBB, I consider myself an expert in what it takes for businesses to build successful, trustworthy relationships with their consumers. I believe, both personally and professionally, that trust is the most valuable asset any businessperson can have in their toolbox. My goal is to develop an unbreakable bond between our local businesses and the people in our area. When we all choose to do business the right way, the better way, everyone benefits.
