Steve Bertone’s practice is primarily focused on intellectual property matters as well as technology, scientific, computer and Internet–related matters. He has substantial experience in various intellectual property capacities, including: --> Preparation and prosecution of domestic/international patent registrations; --> Preparation and prosecution of domestic/international trademark registrations; --> Search of prior art and determination of clearance/conflict of IP interests; --> Development of product/service branding strategies and trade dress protection; Assessment, valuation, licensing, assignment and management of IP portfolios; and,--> Counsel regarding prudent corporate IP policies and protocols; and Resolution and litigation of IP disputes. Steve also has an extensive background negotiating and crafting agreements dealing with: non–disclosure, confidentiality and non–competition; joint research, software development and strategic partnerships; licensing, cross–licensing and technology transfer; OEM, VAR, end user, terms of use and privacy; servicing, outsourcing, manufacturing and operations/support; and satellite, communications and bandwidth provisioning/delivery.
