The key purpose of my role is to develop and advance:George Weston’s reputation among key stakeholders.Development and implementation of the Government Engagement Strategy as well as ongoing issue-based strategies.Contributing to key relationships with governments and non-government external stakeholders. Part of this role also includes developing third party advocacy for industry policy and develop George Weston’s profile and reputation among political stakeholders through effective stakeholder engagement, relationship management and advocacy.Support and drive GWF's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) work through finalising an ESG strategy and assisting GWF businesses deliver tangible outcomes arising.Leading state level government stakeholder engagement and/or policy initiatives, including strategy. Established the Regional Development Australia network in Melbourne,manage the RDA program budget, and to lead the new committees to develop meaningful programs and collaborations within their regions across all levels of government and industry to now be recognised as at the forefront of RDA committees in Australia, and especially in metro regions.The RDA Committees have gone to lead the region in assisting councils develop regional economic partnerships to highlight key economic issues such as manufacturing productivity and leadership in the Southern, Regional partnerships in the East, Health and Education in the West and broadband throughout all industrial areas, amongst other issues. RDA's now provide valued and recognized leadership in regional economic matter in Melbourne.

The Metropolitan Economic Development of the Victorian Dept of Economic Development leads the development of the new Metropolitan Economic Partnerships model in metro Melbourne, including working with councils across each of the five regions to develop their own partnership arrangements with state government. In particular I have been working with existing or encouraging the development of new regional networks to develop more meaningful and targeted interactions with state government. This will include regional priority setting. in addition l lead Dept of Economic Development support in the development of economic precincts in Melbourne with councils and other state government agencies

Principal contact for business with the department in the south and east regions of Melbourne, lead Business Development Managers to assist the regions 10,000 medium to large business, to work with the regions local governments both collectively and individually on common economic development issues affecting the region. Initiated and worked with the South East Manufacturers to premier the "Victorian Manufacturing Showcase", and market the South East as Australia's manufacturing heartland the home of Smart Manufacturing.

Established the office - the first time the department focused on the inner city and its industries. Lead the first business engagement with Health, Community Services, Professional Services and related industries. The office lead DSDBI's engagement with the retail sector including new entrants such as Zara, H&M. It ran for the Victorian Government's involvement in the Melbourne Fashion Festival. Principal contact for business with the department in the inner city region of Melbourne, lead Business Development Managers to assist the regions medium to large business, to work with the regions local governments both collectively (through IMAP) and individually on common economic development issues affecting the region.
