I have extensive experience in Legal IT with purpose-driven focus on local- and wide-area networking and data security. Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft operating systems, and HP & Cisco routing and switching have been the focus of my career in Legal IT, and designing systems that marry the best of usability and security both internally and with "cloud" systems is where I thrive!Previously I had over 15 years experience with software development & system engineering in the healthcare CRM and telecomm industries. The experience of crafting custom intranets in the healthcare industry helped mold my skillsets for gathering requirements and building solutions based on project targets and usability, and my early career in the telecomm world taught me how to focus on correctly merging hardware & software requirements and mapping out software testing porcedures to ensure a solid roll-out for in-house and client environments. I've also helped lead numerous remodel/construction initiatives related to data center redesign, remodel, and expansion.I'm one of those people that LOVES system documentation, and building proper documentation for network systems, processes, and operational procedures is something I love doing! It's a fantastic way to get a handle on unfamiliar systems, and I've always advocated that anyone trying to understand how their systems function should just build network & data flow diagrams!I am currently the Senior Network Administrator at McDonald Carano, and I am a member of the Technology Committee.
