The Translational Research Facility (MHTP-TRF) is dedicated to translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice and ultimately improved community healthcare. The TRF represents a union of Monash Health, Monash University and MIMR-PHI. The project scope comprises the planning, design, construction, commissioning, equipping and operation of an 11,000m2 facility. The projected cost of this project is $AUD 110.0MKey AchievementsDrove the creation of a shared service matrix identifying key areas of integration (cleaning, waste, mail, security, telephony, retails, car parking and traffic, signage and wayfinding, sanitary services, pest control, engineering, data network, building works, relocation, compliance and refurbishment) to ensure that the TRF integrates with the rest of the precinct and visa versa.Created and managed the FF&E list to fit within the allocated project budget of $AUD 3.7M.Established the procurement framework (policy, procedure and packages) and sought tender or preferred tender submissions.Submitted and managed building variation requests, value add and environmental sustainability options to ensure the building remained on time and on budget.Managed the ICT requirements to fit within an allocated project budget of $AUD 2.7M.Using a Risk Matrix, lodged, managed and mitigated >150 project risks. Risks were reviewed and discussed monthly to determine status, level of severity and new risks.Developed a precinct wide approach to OHSE, Emergency Response and Facilities management by creating an OHSE framework compiled via the outcomes of regular meetings with key stakeholders.
