The Philadelphia Glider Council is the oldest continually operating sailplane/glider operation in North America. We have our own airfield on 135 acres about 1 hour outside of Philadelphia and have been in operation since 1940. Currently, we have 8 sailplanes, 3 tow planes and about 100 members, most of whom are professional (ATP, military, etc) pilots who are enjoying the challenges of flying engineless aircraft where "you only have one chance to land."

We renamed LucidXR.com to RaiLTech.ai in 2022 and have shifted our focus to the application of AI to the human experience. Please stay tuned.

The Prodigies solve complex problems, create disruptive innovation and name new products for some of the world's best-loved brands and a range of leading CPG, Food & Beverage, Tech, Healthcare, and Financial Services companies.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic alliances for BrickSimple. In addition, Mr. Buerkle was the key strategist of BrickSimple's Augmented & Virtual Reality software & content practice, designing immersive technology solutions for industrial, commercial/enterprise and healthcare markets. These applications offer measurably higher user engagement and memory retention, especially in training and field service scenarios.

Expanded MKP's range of influence within the biomedical device and aerospace manufacturing markets. Developed plan to transition from subtractive manufacturing to additive manufacturing (3D printing) methodologies, especially electron beam (EBAM) and laser sintering (SLS) using Ti6Al4V ELI (Grade 23) titanium and other biocompatible materials.

• Open Assembly - Chief Operating Officer; New York, NY. Open Assembly was based in the Varick Street Incubator (Polytechnic Institute of New York University) in SoHo, NYC. Open Assembly created a digital platform to re-invent the "textbook" and was focused initially on a market segment defined by community colleges and public universities, with a mission to save curriculum development time for teachers and professors, lower the cost of books for students, and to increase student engagement. The company is now operated by its founder as a non-profit.• Noveda Technologies; VP – Operations; Branchburg, NJ. Noveda was a substantial developer of real-time, web-based energy and water monitoring software infrastructure. In addition to monitoring renewable energy systems (solar, wind, etc.), the company monitored commercial building energy (electricity, gas, etc.) and water usage. Ultimately, the company ran through its funding and was reduced to managing existing installations.

• Benefits Data Trust; Founding CEO: Philadelphia, PABDT is a not-for-profit enterprise with support from the National Council on Aging (NCOA - Washington, DC). BDT’s mission is to enroll limited income senior citizens in Medicare Part D (LIS) benefits. Methodologies include data mining and data aggregation designed to locate seniors who would have “slipped through the cracks” of government outreach programs relating to Medicare Part D.• Aspen Media Holdings, CEO; Philadelphia, PA. Founder and COO. Web 2.0 media company re-engineering the daily local newspaper, blending the best of professionally produced video and user generated content on issues of on-going importance to women aged 30 and above who are the largest local newspaper demographic.• Signature Solar, LLC; Founder/General Partner; West Chester, PA. Signature, a result of the collaboration between SunGlow Energy and Signature HVAC, was a "holistic" energy company in the sense that the company was technology agnostic - using whatever technology solved the client's energy problem. The company was successful in generating residential and commercial business, but eventually fell victim to the dramatic fall-off of economic support for renewable energy by Pennsylvania's politically conservative legislature.

• RealNetworks, Inc.; Vice President - Product Management; Seattle, WA. Member of founding management team (one of four founding executives) of RealNetworks (previously named Progressive Networks), the inventor of digital streaming technology and developer of RealAudio and RealVideo technology offering real-time audio & video over the Internet, Seattle, WA. Participated in writing of original business plan. Negotiated and managed all intellectual property negotiations with major networks.• Suburban Cable; Director - Internet Services; Oaks, PA. Reported to founder Gerry Lenfest. Responsible for starting up and managing a new, broadband Internet service across Suburban Cable's 3 state infrastructure. Operated as a “startup” business unit within one of the country’s largest cable companies. Suburban sold to Comcast in January, 2000.• Brooks Capital Group, LLC; Managing Director: Bala Cynwyd, PA. BCG was founded in 2000 as a venture capital firm, a public equity investment arm and a family office for Brook J. Lenfest. Specific tasks included due diligence, structuring equity investments and representing BCG on board seats and in management reviews. Mr. Buerkle was also responsible for establishing BCG’s relationship with Bay-area venture capital firms.

• PMA Insurance Company; Assistant to the Treasurer; Philadelphia, PAAssistant to the Treasurer of PMAIC. Managed equity and debt portfolios. Executed research into Pennsylvania banks and negotiated the acquisition of non-controlling interest in many of those banks.• American Financial Systems, Inc.; Founder/ CEO; Haverford, PA. Portfolio Management and Performance Measurement software for the retail stockbroker investment advisory and markets (Broker's Notebook and Investment Counsellor). Sold to Quotron/CitiCorp - 1997.• Pennsylvania Merchant Group; Associate - Investment Banking; Radnor, PA. PMG/Radnor Venture Partners (RVP) was a venture capital and investment banking firm. The RVP component eventually became TL Ventures.• Applied Optical Media Corporation; VP Content Development & Marketing; West Chester, PA, AOM was one of the early leaders in development of digital interactive multimedia applications, including pioneer work with DVI (Digital Video Interactive) technology (precursor to MPEG, developed by RCA’s Sarnoff Labs). Intellectual property acquisition/licensing, new product conceptualization, development team management, product marketing and product design. I designed World Vista, a children's multimedia atlas. Won "Most Innovative Software" award - CES, 1990. • Axxis Software, Inc.; Founder/CEO; Haverford, PA. Conceived and created TAXI, the first personal navigation/mapping software. Secured the exclusive global rights to Zagat Survey data, which were embedded within the product. PC Computing MVP award (Comdex Fall, 1992) and the Windows Watcher International Innovation Award. Company was bought by News Corp/Rupert Murdoch - 1993.
