Inventor, principal developer and co-owner of a crypto-currency "coin" mech for vending payment applications. The mech is multi-crypto-currency, remotely managed and instant confirmation. Management back-end supports centralised management of large distributed fleets of mechs. Coded in C++, Python, Django, PostgreSQL. Technology worked, but the evolution of Crypto as a low-value payment system didn't, so we put it back in the drawer.

Responsible for governance, strategy development, and all matters to do with our 75,000 membership and member groups and activities. Vice-Chair of the Membership Board for c. 4 years, and interim Chair for 6 months.

P&L responsibility for £50M+ turnover, 350+ employees. Executive responsibility for ICT, E2E Business Process, and Digital Strategy. Double-digit growth for 10 years. The group was sold to PE house Hg Capital for "between £150 - £200 Million".

Under my leadership JLA became an exemplar of Open Source infrastructure, and a world leader in distributed & remote working technology for Field Service and Sales. I led the IT function to be one of six finalists for "Most IT Enabled Business (under 500 employees)" in the 2005 Computing Awards, and led the company to be winner of the 2008 National Customer Service Award for Field Service Management.
