As a Police Sergeant with over 26 years experience I have accumulated several skills and areas of expertise contributing to a variety of abilities. Several years spent as a supervisor as well as in general investigations and investigating drug and gang related crimes has provided me with a unique knowledge-base and experience in handling complex situations and cases; including: murder, computer crimes, sex crimes, property crimes, drug conspiracy, undercover investigations, gang-related offenses and enforcement - to name just a few. I have received numerous accommodations as a result of my efforts in law enforcement. I currently serve as a Sergeant in the patrol division, and am an IPMBA certified bike officer to the Northern Illinois Police Alert System (NIPAS). I belong to the Mobile Field Force section of NIPAS which is a group that trains for and responds to incidents of civil unrest, protests, and areas in need of crowd control throughout all of northeastern Illinois. As a former SWAT team member, tactical officer, and trained in active shooter response I have accrued a unique set of skills that serve as an asset to my department.
