Following a return to the job market, I am looking for a challenging role and I feel the skills I have gained working within the Armed Forces along with the skills and knowledge gained from my Prison Service career would be invaluable in a career instructing in First Aid. I have an excellent knowledge of First Aid Instructing both in practical and theoretical training, gained from a decorated career with the Royal Air Force and also updating my skills by undertaking the NUCO First aid instructor course and L3 award in Education and Training. I have a caring and empathising demeanour and this is carries into my teaching style where I will put myself to the availability of the students until everyone understands the subject matter delivered. I have vast experience in dealing vulnerable people in times of difficulty and stress, along with a wealth of life skills and experience to adjust and approach any developing situation. Over the course of my careers I have developed the ability to empathise and listen, along with making sound common sense judgement’s, and when necessary seek senior advice to ascertain the safety and dignity of all persons.
