This role involved the establishment of a central, consolidated procurement function within ECS (where previously all purchasing had been undertaken by individuals). This involved supplier management, development of supply agreements and monitoring of spend. The role grew to include fleet management, asset management and maintenance.I was also responsible for the companies IT assets including support and troubleshooting

A diverse role within a rapidly growing fabrication department within ECS. The role involved shift management of around 30 fabrication staff and the associated works progressing through the workshop. Responsibilities included estimating, production progressing, client meetings and liaison materials and equipment procurement, stores establishment and management and developing new business processes and systems.

Helping form the new Contracting workstreams within ECS, predominantly within the new market delivering services to Severn Trent Water. Key specialisms included tender appraisal, compilation and submission, and several jobs were project managed and delivered end to end.The role saw a significant amount of new business generation with clients and developing business skills and knowledge in new areas

Initially learning the craft by 2D draughting on a traditional drawing board, then developing CAD skills in both 2D and 3D versions of AutoCad across a broad spectrum of projects including fabricated items, plant & site layouts, concept designs and mechanical equipment. The attention to detail and broad knowledge required was a great platform to build my engineering career from.
