Reporting directly to the General Manager, my duties were to enhance and grow our already successful business.

Reporting directly to the Business Development Director (RAIL), my initial task was to recruit a small team of experienced Rail professionals who would bring the required “Rail background and knowledge” to enhance and grow our already successful business, I was charged with managing the team effectively, setting regional sales targets, measurement of sales performance, Identifying new customers and work streams, coaching and training my team to ensure they maximised each hire.

Responsible for P&L and the day to day management and safety of all visitors & staff to the depot. In a customer facing position where I consistently delivered a first class quality plant hire service to a number of blue chip clients.

Ashtead Plant Hire recruited me into a role that involved setting up a Rail plant hire division, during this period I held the position of Rail Sales Executive & Depot Manager.

My career with HSS spanned 20 years, I started out as an apprentice fitter, working my way up through the organisation via Depot Management, Account Management, to Regional Sales Manager.
