I have a long and diverse academic and employment history with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology, and a Master of Business Administration, supplemented by various training and certifications. On the employment side, I got my first job at 15 and have been working ever since. From the service industry to manufacturing, small local companies to large multi-nationals, I've done it all. My career in IT began as a Web Developer at a Vancouver startup where I gained a lot of experience developing for the full stack while also learning important lessons on how to operate a successful business. From there, I moved onto a medium-sized company, taking more of a leadership role and refining my software development abilities and business analysis skills. Currently at SFU, I've been able to further expand my skills, taking on other roles including Project Manager, Service (Product) Owner, and Scrum Master. I've found a passion for leading teams, finding creative and innovative solutions to complex projects with tight constraints, and developing people and helping them achieve their goals.
