As Global Markets Senior Faculty, I delivered leadership solutions for clients, including the discovery of client needs and the design and delivery of high-impact learning journeys that help clients achieve organizational and business goals. With a focus on innovation, I delivered CCL innovation leadership solutions and designed innovation offerings.

As the Head of Innovation, I was responsible for creating an innovation practice central to achieving Fifth Third's vision. This entailed creating the Innovation Center of Excellence that provides insights to the business and leads development of common language, frameworks and competence in human-centered design. I also led the design of the recently opened the Innovation lab that is the new home of the Innovation COE and Omni-channel teams.

VP, DESIGN INNOVATION (2011 – 2015)Reporting to the Chief Design Officer, I developed and codified Human-Centered Design and innovation capabilities with the greatest impact. I led the clay street project, P&G’s innovation lab that guides multi-disciplinary teams to solve some of the company’s most difficult challenges. We worked with business teams to create the P&G Brand, reframe the Communications organization, and shift thinking in Fabric Care, Home Care, and Family Care. We also worked with a variety of community non-profits to 'see with new eyes' as they solved their challenges. VP, DESIGN LEARNING & CAPABILITY (2007 – 2011)This work was focused on overseeing the learning strategies, practices and forums of the global design organization, as well as co-creating multi-functional learning capability as part of P&G's One Brand vision to bring the disciplines of marketing, research, design, and communications together to create a seamless brand organization. This included conducting research on the health of the collective organization as a learning organization (see HBR “Is Yours a Learning Organization?”). VP, TRANSITIONAL DESIGN LEADER (2005 – 2007)With design teams in the global healthcare and hair care business, I facilitated critical leadership and organizational transitions, which can be very difficult for individuals and teams to navigate. I worked to develop team health by coaching and guiding individuals and teams and, ultimately, developing and integrating permanent leaders.

DIRECTOR OF GROWTH, LEARNING, & CAPABILITY (2002 – 2005)As a member of the leadership team that created P&G’s design function, I led the growth strategy including recruiting, career paths and capability development. I represented design on corporate Disruptive Innovation and Commercial Innovation teams. As design lead/liaison, I led development of asset management system and provided UX input for enterprise PLM, for which I was a board member. I also partnered with Marketing and R&D to co-create multi-functional brand building frameworks.

ASSOCIATE DESIGN DIRECTOR (1997 – 2002)As Industrial Design Manager I led design technology including: CAD, FEA and packing line technologies; co-development relationships with IT, Engineering and vendors; and managing technical managers. I also led structural packaging initiatives. As a member of multi-functional leadership team creating global awareness of design, I led the ‘DesignMatters’ communications effort.INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER (1991 – 1997)I designed structural packaging and devices for global fabric care, health care, and beauty care brands. This included creating concept sketches, developing CAD models, and partnering with marketing, R&D, manufacturing, and design firms to bring brand-centric, technically feasible packaging to market. I was awarded several US design patents.
