The past 14 years at Daystar have been busy.Along with a few others, we've upgraded the playout system to 3 fully redundant playout channels, one ad-hoc and a training channel so the ops can break things without really breaking things. All based on Harris/Imagine Communications VERSIO/VOLT/ADC. It's run is ending as I watch another team build up an AVECO/Harmonic Cloud system that will allow us to rebuild the on-prem system. Notice I said "watch". I'm letting others have all the "fun" of co-ordination, training and implementing a new system. Been there, done that, designed the T-Shirt, Coffee Cup, and Hat!What am I going to do? Build out the Full Service and Class A stations that Daystar owns and operates. I'm working with others to implement IP, moving away from satellite to SRT program delivery where it is practical. Replacing Harris DTP stream processors with DTVi Hydra and at select locations, Harmonic Spectrum/XOS solutions. These solutions are ATSC 3/NEXTGen ready.
Listed skills include Amatuer Radio and Extra Class License.
