I’m Steve Davis, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional who helps couples nearing retirement as well as those who have recently retired. My goal is to help my clients avoid common money mistakes and retire with confidence. As the second-generation owner of Davis Financial, I have enjoyed watching many of the firm’s clients – including my own father -- confidently transition to life after work. I've been helping clients for more than 25-years and love what I do.Here’s my story: After graduating from Bentley College in 1985, I spent the first five years of my career as a banker, making commercial loans to small businesses. This was great work, but the banking crisis in the early 90s resulted in me being laid off at the same time my wife Sandy was expecting our first child. Growing up, my dad owned a successful financial planning business, but after graduation, I chose not to join him in business right away because I wanted to know that I could “make it on my own”. After a brief stint selling insurance in Boston, the timing was right and my father and I began to work together. He continued to serve his individual clientele and I began to focus on developing a retirement plan division within our company. My dad and I made a great team and since his retirement in 2006, I can truly say that it has been a pleasure for me to continue working with so many of his trusted friends and clients.
