Full site swap/acqusition and decomissioning.Mar 2011 - Nov 2012 National RAN Swap Programme Manager working for Cornerstone, responsible for the swap of all 2g and 3g base stations in the Vodafone UK Network (13k nodes/17k technologies). Removing Ericsson nodes and replacing with the dual Vendors of Huawei and NSN.2010 - 2011 Head of Cluster Delivery for Ericsson Ireland - responsible for RAN swap of 1400, 3G base sites to LTE enabled DUW's. Installation and activation of over 100 MIMO high speed nodes. 2009 - 2010 Galliford Try/Spyder sites UKBusiness development to establish Galliford Try (turnover £1.5B) as a leading mobile services supplier in UK.2007 - 2009 NEC UK Use of High level contacts within UK Mobile Operators to introduce NEC's offerings at the correct Customer level.Created a bid methodology to enable standardised bids to be produced in line with the end to end process.

2006 - 2007 Head of Operational Delivery - O2 UK Responsible for a Team of 360 staff delivering all aspects of the Radio Network for the UK, including; Radio Planning, Site Acquisition, Site Construction, RF Kit commissioning, Integration and Network Quality/Customer Experience for 2G and 3G Networks. Successfully delivered 2 major equipments swap programmes with Nokia/Motorola and Nortel equipment.Full budgetary control for budgets of £212M Capex and £3.5M Opex. Other duties include liaison with the other UK Operators and Government Ministers and other parts of O2 UK.Achievements;Driving force behind taking O2 from 3rd UK Network Quality to Offcom tested No1 Operator.Exceeded revenue stretch targets for last 4 years running - currently delivering £25M v stretch of £16M.Driven down Capex spend by 30% over the last 4 years despite inflationary pressures.Driven down Opex spend year on year on both my own and colleagues budgets.Best site share Operator in the UK, recognised as such by all mobile OLO's.

Total responsibility for setting up a new strategic business unit in the UK. Sirti Limited was already well established in the UK with fixed wire telecommunication services but lacked a presence in the Radio Market. I was responsible for all business development, commercial and operational activities related to the Radio Market in the UK. I obtained Contracts with major Network Operators and Equipment Manufacturers. I was also involved in detailed negotiation with several Licence holders for Turnkey solutions. My position involved travel throughout Europe to assess group strengths and experiences for use in the UK and North America.

Responsible for establishing a new mobile network in Lincolnshire both for Client's Ericssons and for use by NTL as commercially leased sites.Duties included planning, site acquisition, construction and full budgetary control for 130 radio base stations with an annual expenditure of £15M.

Commenced as a Second Engineer but received rapid promotion on realisation of my talents. Duties commenced by running a team of Engineers and Inspectors responsible for £25M of Civil Engineering works and finished by moving to the team responsible for the Feasibility Study on Sizewell 'C' the next generation PWR Station.
