Steven L. DeGraff, a member of the Much Shelist's Management Committee and its Financial Crisis Response Team, represents developers, owners, entrepreneurs, closely held businesses and institutional lenders in a full range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing transactions. He also represents real estate developers in all aspects of condominium law. Steve has extensive experience in a broad range of financial distress issues, which include negotiating and facilitating favorable results in workouts of financially troubled loans.As a legal and business counselor, Steve is committed to helping clients initiate, develop and close deals that further their business objectives. With prior experience as a trial attorney, he regularly draws on his dispute resolution experience to help clients identify potential risks, negotiate favorable terms, and document contracts and other transactions with an eye toward minimizing future litigation.Steve is a regular speaker on a broad range of topics, including workout issues and financial distress. He is also a member of the American, Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations.
