Responsible for software development, customer satisfaction, and field technical support for the “On-Site Analyzer” a desk-sized oil-analysis instrument containing two spectrometers, a computer and a sample-transport system. Under my management, the division grew from virtually no working instruments to over 30 working instruments that were successfully installed and operating in customer locations. Code: Visual basic, Windows 3.1 and DOS OS. DDE with one instrument, low-level DOS device driver interface with another.Primary responsibilities included: • Primary interface with our hardware suppliers (Thermo Electron, Nicolet Instruments).• Interfacing with customers to ensure the product met their needs. • Managing our technical support group of field representatives (6 Employees), and • Managing our software development group (3 Developers).

Primary responsibilities included software development of our MIT-patented vibration-reduction algorithm, which was installed onto our partners’ motion-controller cards. Developed a series of MATLAB® m-files and libraries to enhance our Input Shaping® toolbox. Interfaced low-level card commands into the MATLAB® system, enabling the designs to be easily and immediately tested within the same environment.
