Steve Dobronyi, ICD.D, is an independent Corporate Director, Chief Executive Officer and finance professional with 40 years experience in insurance and financial services. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Securian Canada, DUCA Credit Union, Accerta, Endeavour Consulting for Non-Profits and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries Professionalism and Credential Monitoring Board.Steve is the retired CEO of Echelon Insurance, a publicly traded property & casualty insurance company. Prior to that, he spent a number of years at Manulife Financial in various executive management and finance roles. Prior to Manulife, he was a Principal and founding member of Mercer's global insurance consulting practice.Steve has broad management expertise in governance, strategy, operations and HR. His finance expertise spans accounting, actuarial, risk management, regulatory compliance, investments and mergers & acquisitions.Steve has an ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management. He’s an Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a graduate of Western University.
