As Vice President, Strategy & Planning, I guided integrated marketing strategies aimed to attract, retain and engage both customers and talent. I served as a key member of agency leadership, helping direct process, structure, and policies. For Versant clients, I led projects across the marketing spectrum, incorporating paid, earned and owned media strategies. I worked with the talented account team to recommend strategies to reach target audiences, incorporating digital media and traditional media. I then executed the digital tactics of those strategies, including web design, web development, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising (AdWords), email marketing, social media marketing, community development, and display advertising.I brought new technologies and practices to the marketing mix at Versant, including real-time bidding (RTB), Google Hangouts, marketing automation, user-centered design and mobile-first planning.I led the agency's education program with weekly lunch-and-learn style sessions, bringing the latest in marketing thought leadership to the entire staff and guiding discussion to establish if, when and how Versant could incorporate this thinking into our client work.
