In charge of multiple commercial, institutional and transportation projects for a wide range of clients. Worked directly for developers, owners, public agencies and as sub-consultant on a multiple disciplined teams. Mentored younger engineers and technicians to expand their knowledge and experience.

Managed an engineering group that provided professional services including transportation improvement projects for TDOT and local governments and utility line extensions and improvements, commercial site development, infrastructure improvements on civilian and military air bases on both sides of the flight line.

Managed the operations of a small start-up office in Knoxville while also serving as transportation manager in Nashville office. Knoxville office managed several large construction projects including the new passenger terminal at McGhee-Tyson Airport and the New Aquatics Center – Knoxville Campus.

In charge of design group with multiple large roadway projects for State DOT and local governments. Provided Transportation design support for three smaller BWSC offices in Tennessee.

Directed operations of three departments of Municipal Government for city of 25,000 residents. Responsibilities for operations involving all aspects of private development within the City, individual departments reviewed development plans, issued permits and ensured compliance of City rules, regulations and ordinances. Responsible for City funded capital improvement projects, including design, construction and funding.

First job out of college, started out as a Roadway Design Engineer and after two years became the Assistant Regional Design Engineer. I designed multi-laned highways, industrial access roads, bridge replacements and freeways.After five years in design, decided to take a position in a Construction office where I gained valuable experience all design engineers should have early in their career. Managed construction for the widening of I-40/75 in Knox County, Pillissippi Parkway Bridge over the Tennessee River, reconstruction of the Henley Street Bridge in Knoxville and numerous State Route improvements.
