Led key projects to transform existing IT systems and support functions by implementing innovative solutions to replace legacy systems. Managed four data centers. Interfaced with Federal Housing Finance Agency conservator to ensure systems supported all regulatory requirements monitored by FHFA. Collaborated with the President of the Board of Pharmacies (State of NJ) to design, develop and market an innovative tracking software system for retail pharmacies. System captured and stored critical patient, doctor, drug and insurance information, managed electronic claim adjudication and printed prescription labels. System was NCPDP and HIPAA compliant and met the stringent legal requirements of the State of NJ. Over a 20+ year period contributed significantly to the operations of the business in the areas of technology development, sales and marketing, participating in the success of the business from initial start up to maturity.

Led a global team of 100+ IT staff in eight countries. Managed alliance and technology contract negotiations. Led the development of the Patagon Global Bank infrastructure. Integrated nine M&A’s spread globally across Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Miami, NY, Spain, Germany. Designed a new trading platform and migrated each country to new universal trading software used globally. Managed teams from PWC, IBM and Sanchez Financial to develop bank infrastructure and online trading and banking. Directed build out of two data centers (Exodus and Sungard) for business continuity / DR. Designed and built Angel Falls project (My.Patagon like My.Yahoo finance site) using Reuters internet portal builder.

Hired as VP of Application; Database Development. Promoted to CIO within months to manage a team of 80 developers, engineers, DBAs, operations and other technology support staff with a $25M budget. Re-organized five IT groups to streamline processes, eliminate barriers and enhance productivity.

Initially ran a Fixed Income database group that had been having sever daily outages. After creating and executing a tactical approach to stabilize the environment we implemented a strategic plan, along with restructuring the team. With that success I was promoted in less than 6 months to manage the Fixed Income Trading Floor technology and managed a staff of 60 with a $24M market data technology budget supporting 750 floor traders. Directed global teams to design and implement automation methods which improved and enhanced productivity for traders. Enabled critical technology improvements that impacted the firm’s bottom line in the millions of dollars. Led technology contract negotiations and initiated the creation of a business intelligence team.

Managed a global team of 15 employees and led development of firm IT standards. Designed and developed many of the systems still in use today. Member of Tech Steering Committee. Originally hired as a programmer consultant and progressed through a variety of roles after being converted to employee status in 1989. Developed leading products today known as Business Intelligence and client reporting systems. Pioneered the creation of a distributed computing environment.
