Working across BT's Security systems area, I was responsible for design, deployment and 3rd line support of systems which supported operations of BT, UK Government and other external customers. This included elements of the Critical National Infrastructure.I worked with Log Monitoring and Retention systems (from Splunk Inc.), Vulnerability and Compliance systems (IP360 and CCM from Tripwire Inc.), and DDOS detection and Mitigation systems (from Arbor Networks Inc.)I was also responsible for the initial design and management of the process for monitoring, reporting and remediating IT vulnerabilities across the entire End User Technology and Security platform

Working in the BT Transition Centre ensuring teams of 20 managers who had been redeployed were guided and coached into new roles. Worked with individuals to hone interview skills, improve CV presentation and support them through the change process.I moved to a new role once I had found all my team new opportunities.

Working within BT Health Service Directorate as part of Operational Efficiency Team, where the NHS Spine organisation was being changed. I developed Familiarity with NHS Operations; the operation of an ITIL focussed Operations Centre with multiple suppliers on site; greater process awareness.I delivered draft Service Catalogue and Business engagement model; and produced a redrafted Costing Model for service requests.

Worked with BT Global Finance to carry out process mapping and design in support of activity within EMEA Visa. Work involved customer meetings, process analysis using Operational Systems Analysis (OSA) forms to map Current State processes, and development of new ITIL processes using extended Event Process Chain (eEPC) modelling.

I was a Coastguard Rescue officer, later rising to Deputy Station Officer, for the Cromarty Coastguard Rescue Team.Trained in Rope Rescue and Recovery, First Aid, Search Techniques, Helicopter Operations.I took part in numerous incidents, leading search teams, and working shoreside to assist with RNLI rescues.
