A $4B, 22,000 employee global leader in fresh produce, operating in 70 countries. Reporting to the CIO, and accountable for the strategic direction & daily leadership of a $30M, 150- person global IT operation, including governance, finance, procurement, and project management.• Created the value proposition & 3-year strategy for a virtual global organization known as the Enterprise PMO, presented to Chiquita’s senior executives, and delivered successful implementations of the largest business initiatives in Chiquita.• Developed the integration framework by which Chiquita would acquire another company, responsible for ensuring that the objectives and benefits of the merger were achieved, including integration of the two companies’ businesses, people, cultures, and meeting or exceeding the target levels of synergies.• Developed a process framework by which Chiquita’s senior executives from each region (Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Latin America, and North America) would collaborate through ongoing operations and budget planning. This created leadership accountability, and a knowledge management database for future decision making.• Led the company’s IT Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) 404 compliance efforts, thereby reducing deficiencies from 28 in 2012, to 5 in 2013, and 0 in 2014, significantly reducing business risk.• Successfully implemented a procure-to-pay initiative for Chiquita, while identifying and improving business processes with alignment of key business functional leaders.• Delivered $1.2M in cost savings by standardizing IT governance, financial management processes, and oversight for all IT projects across the globe.• Implemented a standard electronic signature tool across the entire finance and value chain organizations whereby reducing paper and administrative overhead.• Led execution of a “Project Management for the Non-Project Manager” program delivered to over 300 Chiquita associates with extraordinarily positive feedback.
