My journey began in 1989 working for Central Guaranty Trust during the great real estate recession. I spent 15 years on the banker's side of the desk. I held senior management positions with senior Mortgage lending limits. In 2004 I knew I could do more if I went into business for myself. I became a mortgage broker. And I love this career. In 2009 I noticed a disturbing trend. Mainstream media was failing us by not always fact checking their reports. And then we saw the birth of so-called "mortgage expert sites". All of a sudden everyone and their brother was an expert. They were popping up everywhere. The problem was that so much of the advice was poor and inaccurate. I became frustrated. Time to do something or shut up.With over 30 years of financial services experience in Senior Management positions, I knew I had the credentials to back up what I say. That's when I created and founded CanadaMortgageNews.ca. A site where I share useful facts, opinions and my recommendations for the real estate owner. Real advice for real people. CanadaMortgageNews.ca has remained true and is not influenced by any outside influences making us one of the few or perhaps only unbiased Mortgage news site.
