Accountable for implementation of REACH related systems and processes across the Rolls-Royce group globally, managing both compliance and supply chain continuity.Since September 2010, I have additionally held the position of co-chair of the European Aerospace & Defence industries REACH Working Group. In this capacity, I have represented the European industry group in numerous meetings, workshops and conferences with European and UK government agencies, and with other trade associations.

Developed and deployed a corporate approach to assurance of outsourced engineering activities

Developed the control system for the Trent 900 aeroengine through a large multi-functional team.

Coordination of trade association activities with respect to the impact of the REACH regulation on Aerospace and Defence businesses.

Developed the capacity and capability of the controls engineering team for industrial and marine gas turbines.

Delivered a wide range of technical jobs including power system design, and EMC/Lightning certification for Trent 700 and 800 gas turbine engines. Led the customer requirements capture and systems design for the BR715 gas turbine. All tasks involved a close working relationship with key suppliers, customers and regulators.
