Steve Gibbons is a founding Director of Ergon Associates. His professional background lies in labour law, but for the last 20 years he has specialised in business and human rights and is a recognised international expert in this field. He has worked with multi-stakeholder initiatives, international companies, development finance institutions, major sporting federations and events on numerous specific consultancy projects. He is currently leading teams currently working on a number of human rights impact assessments, developing human rights due diligence frameworks and reporting frameworks under emerging due diligence legislation. He has also recently designed several remedy and grievance frameworks. He is working with a number of sporting events organisers, sports federations and clubs on incorporating human rights into their operations.He has led Ergon teams on a number of large research projects for major international institutions, including the European Commission, the World Bank and the ILO. Steve also regularly acts as an expert facilitator and as a developer and implementer of innovative training, both in person and online. He is a regular keynote conference speaker.Steve is a graduate of the University of Nottingham Law School and the Inns of Court School of Law in London.
