Our system combines hardware and software to reduce the costs of production, improve resource efficiency, and shorten the time to reach commercial production for synthetic biology products.

Steve Goldenberg served as the CEO of Boldr, Inc, a purpose-driven outsourcing company (recognized as a Public Benefit Corporation (B-Corp) in 2022). Boldr provides high-quality, custom outsourcing solutions powered by a global team  that include Customer Experience, Data Management, and Sales Enablement.  Founded in 2017, has operations in Canada, the Philippines (Manila and Tacloban), Mexico (Merida), and South Africa (Cape Town). At present, Boldr has over 1,000 employees globally.Steve’s focus during his tenure was to lead the company through a number of significant challenges and strategic transitions. Within a year, the work on those initiatives was complete. He then stepped down and handed the leadership of the company back to its Founder in January 2022.

Once the pandemic started and schools moved to full-time remote learning, Steve focused on helping his son get through first and second grade remote learning.

Steve recruited a CEO as his business partner in 2015 to help take the company to the next level and to raise the capital required to fully realize his vision for the company. After leading all functions of the business for 16 years, he shifted his focus back to building technologies and software for the global higher education market and Interfolio's customers and users.

Steve Goldenberg founded Interfolio in 1999 when he was a student at Georgetown University. Steve subsequently built the education-technology company to prominence prior to selling it in 2018 to Insight Venture Partners. Steve then built a global practice for Interfolio prior to retiring from the business in 2020. Steve initially taught himself software engineering to build the first version of Interfolio’s product, which is still the basis for the products the company offers today. Throughout his tenure, he leveraged his expertise and acumen in strategic, futuristic ideation to continuously improve and evolve enabling technology. When the university technology landscape was moving to the cloud, he capitalized on the opportunity, developing the vision and plan for what would become Interfolio’s Faculty Information System—ultimately inventing this new product category in the marketplace. With this, he transitioned the company from a consumer business to an enterprise SaaS business in 2012, all the while maintaining the focus on both end user and business needs.
