    This has been the most enjoyable experience of my professional career. I work with Ithaca College's students to provide real life business context as a supplement to their college experience. I help students prepare for their transition into the business community and help them communicate with the college's active alumni network. I am the architect and help maintain the Business School's Young Alumni Network, a unique collaborative effort which encourages recent graduates to mentor existing Ithaca College business students. I work with the students on their interviewing and communication skills. Generally, each year I mentor between 100-125 IC students and maintain relationships with over 500 recent graduates via the Young Alumni Network. I also serve on the Dean's Business (School) Advisory Council (BAC) and I am a Trustee for the South Hill Fund (Investment Advisory Board), a student managed investment vehicle with over $750,000 in assets. In 2016, I received the first ever Alumni Award for Exemplary Volunteer Service.

    We originally started IPayment to fill a need in the Capital District area by providing small and medium business owners a credible, low cost option in the merchant services space. The challenge for small businesses is that they don't have any clout in the marketplace to drive a low price with credit card processors. IPAYTS bands these small businesses together through community rating so that they receive respect in the marketplace, driving their costs down. We do our best to provide excellent, local service to back our low pricing. We have done very well working with trusted referral partners like small locals banks, Chambers of Commerce, and associations.We also pivoted into a newer line of business which has actually proven to be even more beneficial to medium and larger clients. We refer this line of business our Advocacy Initiative. Since we have become experts in merchant services, we contract with business owners to audit and negotiate with their current merchant services providers. This service is free unless we find savings, and we take our fee from those savings. 80% of the time we find savings for our clients.Currently, our processing arm of our business accounts for 75% of our revenue, but we feel the advocacy business will become a largest part of our business in the next couple years.Finally, we recently embarked on a third business line, providing ATM services to our clients.
